CPCS A27 Mobile Elevating Work Platform - MastClimber
Course Aims
The aim of the course is to provide plant operator training for individuals who wish to drive a MEWP Climber at a competent level.
Course Content
- Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of controls and gauges
- Identify and comply with manufacturers’ instructions in accordance with the operator’s handbook, other information sources and applicable legislation
- Carry out pre-checks
- Ensure the mast climber is sited and erected
- Keep within safe working parameters
- Place the plant machinery in an out-of-service condition
- Prepare the platform to accept various loads
- Raise and lower platform up to maximum working height in a loaded and unloaded state

Test
To achieve the Red CPCS Trained Operator Card candidates must pass both the CSCS touch screen H+S test (within the last 2 years) and the CPCS Theory Test and the Practical Test.
