Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management
Course Description
The Diploma in Construction Site Management (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification from a globally recognised awarding body and is available for those individuals working as (or seeking to work as) construction site managers in; building and civil engineering, residential development or demolition. As a National Vocational Qualification it has been developed to be achieved in a real work environment and as a result you will need to be employed (or undertaking a ‘short work-break’) to be able to undertake this qualification.
The qualification will enable you to highlight your recognisable; skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment and upon completion you will be in a position to apply for a Manager (Black) CSCS card providing you meet any required additional criteria.
Selected Focus
The Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management (Construction) consists of a number of mandatory and optional units which must be undertaken by the learner and from which they will be required to achieve a specified number of credits. The variations offered by CITP are:

Entry Requirements
A good understanding of reading, spoken and written English. Please note that this programme is only conducted in English and therefore it is paramount that students are able to communicate in English.

Assessment & Training
Students are required to build a portfolio of evidence which is assessed for competence, experience and knowledge. A portfolio of evidence is gathered demonstrating of competence and training and is gathered in the following ways:
- a set of knowledge questions – either written or a recorded discussion with your assessor.
- a witness testimony provided by your line manager or similar person.
- Gather evidence of the work that you carry out, this could be documentation such as RAMS, CCPs, Commercial breakdowns, programmes, amongst other documents.
- Conduct a recorded professional discussion with your assessor.
