National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) in Basingstoke

Working throughout Basingstoke and the surrounding areas we provide the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) to enhance your career in the construction industry.

The NPORS certificate allows a flexible approach which will meet the needs of the employer and help in providing a well-trained construction workforce. An NPORS card will be produced for an individual who has successfully completed practical and knowledge assessments on categories that will be shown on the back of the NPORS card. This will show that an individual has a good level of competence to operate the items on the card. The health and safety organisation recognise NPORS training providers as fully competent to train, test and certify operators.

Here at CITP we specialise in on-site training; a qualified instructor will come to your site to provide training that is specific to your needs. Our expert instructors provide NPORS training services to all applicants of different experience levels. We also have training locations in Basingstoke, Hampshire and Reading, which will accommodate different machine types such as scissor lifts, cherry pickers and telescopic handlers.

For more information call our specialist training team today on 01189 700 200, they will be on hand to discuss your NPORS training requirements with you.

Alternative to the CPCS

NPORS is a brilliant alternative card scheme to the CPCS, the NPORS scheme will ensure that you will get all the required skills and knowledge to progress your career in the construction industry. We support you all through the training making sure you’re trained, tested and assessed to the NPORS standard.

Flexibility with NPORS

An NPORS card is a lot more flexible than other schemes which makes it a very attractive training solution. With an NPORS card you will have the ability to:
Include attachments – E.g. Telescopic Handler – with bucket attachment
Restrict the card for operational reasons – E.g. 180 Excavator – restricted to front bucket use only.
Restrict the card for Commercial reasons – E.g. Restricted for use on a company ltd site only.

Training

CITP can offer full Novice Training Course with NPORS assessments at the end of the of the training course for candidates with no experience. We always make sure no matter your current skillset, experience or knowledge you will have access to the construction training you need.

A lot of our clients that take the NPORS training do so because of the variety that it offers, which cannot be matched by other training schemes.
Some of the courses that are offered are:

  • Slinging and lifting with excavator
  • Vehicle banksman (Traffic Marshall)
  • Quick hitch (Safety or Awareness)
  • Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT and Genny)
  • Abrasive wheels
