Our well-regarded Safe Use of Cable Avoidance Location Equipment course is specifically designed for supervisors and operatives responsible for identifying underground infrastructure on highways and roads across the UK, including Reading. It is a comprehensive training program that focuses on construction, maintenance, and repair projects.

Course Overview

  • The fundamental operating principles for locating and avoiding installed underground services, along with hazard identification procedures and the corresponding key risks.
  • Understanding construction site plans and accurately interpreting them.
  • Efficient and secure operation of devices.

Upon successfully finishing the CAT & Genny training course, candidates will gain the ability to:

  • Recognise any potential hazards that may harm themselves or others.
  • Ensure that you carefully review and comprehend all details outlined in the site plan.
  • Safely and effectively use cable avoidance tools to locate or avoid underground apparatus.
