Aim

Our cable avoidance tools (CAT & Genny) training is designed to equip construction supervisors and site operatives with the required knowledge and skills for safely and effectively carrying out cable avoidance work in Basingstoke and Hampshire.

Who Should Attend?

The Cable Avoidance Location Equipment Training is a comprehensive and reliable course specifically created for supervisors and other designated workers responsible for locating underground utilities in the UK, including Basingstoke and Hampshire, during highway and road projects.

Course Overview

  • Identifying underground services, avoiding them and determining the key risks associated with them.
  • Understanding construction site plans and interpreting them correctly.
  • Using equipment in a practical and safe manner.

Successful completion of the CAT & Genny training course will allow candidates to:

  • Assess all potential risks to themselves and others. 
  • Fully understand and read any site plan. 
  • Locate and/or avoid existing underground apparatus safely and effectively using cable avoidance tools.
